Norseman Athletic Club

The Norseman features a large swimming pool, along with cardiovascular equipment, Nautilus and free weights, racquetball and squash courts, tanning booths, six indoor tennis courts, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. There's even an indoor basketball court, and childcare by appointment for members. It also has a whirlpool, steam and sauna rooms and an in-house masseuse. Another bonus is the healthy snack bar. Guests pay a rate of $12 a day, which allows unlimited use of all facilities. If you plan to go swimming, bathing caps are required and can be purchased for $2.50. Budget-stretching weekend rates for families are available.

Mid-Cape Racquet and Health Club

This is undoubtedly, the people's choice on Cape Cod for the best in league play and instruction. Centrally located on Cape Cod in South Yarmouth, the Mid-Cape Racquet and Health Club is easily accessed off the Mid-Cape Highway (U.S. Rt. 6). If you are looking for a game, the Mid-Cape offers nine well-lit hard indoor courts. Mid-Cape has a pro shop, and racquet stringing is available through their professional staff. Court fees are $18 per person for singles and $14.50 for doubles per person. The club here frequently hosts tournaments, including the Mid-Cape Open.


Sesuit Tennis Center

The courts at the Sesuit Tennis Center are meticulously kept by a staff of professionals. The small Center also boasts one of the best pro shops and is the place where the locals get their rackets strung. Three outdoor courts offer fine league play or instruction, and the staff will find you a match if you are looking for new competition while visiting the Cape. The courts and pro shop are open from sunrise to sunset in season and charge $10 per person per hour for singles.


Bamburgh House Tennis Club

Set back off Mass. Rt. 6A, with a small wooden sign at the entrance to the driveway, this club offers four asphalt courts that are available from sunrise to sunset. Court time costs $4 an hour for singles and $4 for 90 minutes of doubles per person. The tennis club also offers lessons, and stringing is available.

This is the only indoor tennis facility from Chatham to Provincetown serving the Lower Cape area. It is open year-round with six indoor hard courts that were resurfaced in 1999. Court time is charged by the day rather than by the hour offering you unlimited play for only $12 per day, per person.


Oliver Tennis Courts

Clay court enthusiasts, this is your spot. Beautifully maintained red-clay courts highlight this family-owned club. Stop by and the pros will arrange a match for you. Leagues, lessons, and a pro shop are all available at Oliver, which is open seven days a week, late-May through October. Court time is $18 per person to play singles on the red clay courts and $14 on the one hard court.


Mid-Cape Racquet & Health Club

Mid-Cape is a complete fitness center with Nautilus and free weights and a personal training program. After your workout, enjoy the sauna, steam room, and whirlpool. There is a $10 guest fee per day to use the fitness center with an additional $4 charge per person if you want to use the tennis or racketball courts. Tennis is $28 per hour; racquetball and squash are $12 per hour. Facilities include a juice and wine bar. The club is a popular choice for private soccer or basketball parties for kids. Mid-Cape Racquet Club is open daily year round.
